Today Water for Elephants is being released in theaters across the country. It was supposed to be my dream job, shooting stills on a high profile movie about a subject dear to my heart: The Circus. Unfortunately, it did not work out that way for classic Hollywood reasons, and i did not get the job shooting pictures of the pretend circus. The only thing that takes the sting away, is the fact that i know a real circus, with real people, and have had the fortune to travel with them, photograph and know them, while exploring parts of back country USA.... for the past 15 years.
